Yaple Park Historic Homes
This small historic neighborhood is bordered by Pierson Place to the north, separated by the canal. It's cozy, quiet and almost secluded, though it's in the urban Phoenix with much of the the neighborhood within walking distance to the light rail.
The homes tend to be small on medium sized lots. The average house is about 1,300sf. Less then 10 have pools. Prices hover around the $200,000 mark but can go up above $300,000 for the updated well cared for ones. Most of them are from the period of 1928 to 1940 with several revival architectural styles plus a many transitional ranch homes.
While well located there remain quite a few homes that need to be updated and revived, though many have already been.
It's named after the first family to farm the land in Phoenix's youth. There are 103 historic homes and a few newer fill in projects of various quality.
This historic district was listed on the Phoenix Historic Property Register June 1997.
