East Evergreen Historic Neighbohrood

East Evergreen is located just south of Mcdowell between 3rd and 7th Streets, along Lynwood St. and Willetta St. On the northeast tip of Townsend Park.

The neighborhood has its origins back to 1893, originally as farmland. The original lots, of course, were large.

The earliest home is from 1916. The architectural style are mostly Arts and Crafts Bungalows. It is one of the smallest historic districts by size and number of homes.

There are numerous parks with very little through traffic: it is quiet and well located, an urban neighborhood to the core where much can be done by walking there including the light rail and the Business Core of Phoenix.
