Over at Phoenix Market Trends, our other greater Phoenix website we just published a review of the May 2011 residential housing numbers.

    "Don’t be surprised to see mixed news, mixed numbers and different opinions about where the housing market is or is going. When reading about any housing market new be aware of who is doing the reporting and where the data comes from.
    For instance: reports about the general national housing market are useless as are composite indexes. When you buy or sell it’s very local, down to the neighborhood. If you’re selling in Arcadia, what’s happening in New Jersey has no bearing on you. If you’re buying a $500,000 home, what’s happening with $100,000 home in the same metro area is more relevant, but only slightly more"
